    7:00 a.m.
  • Ecumenical Services @ City Park shelterhouse
  • 7:15 a.m.

  • Registration begins for 5K run at Nazareth Lutheran Church (call 712.260.6650 for details)
  • 8:00 a.m.

  • 5K and 1 mile Fun Run/Walk begins at N.L. Church
  • VFW track and field events @ H.S. Track(ages Pre-school-6th grade)
  • 8:30 a.m.

  • Punt, Pass, and Kick at High School Football field
  • Registration for Baking Contest at Community Center (712.868.3305)
  • 9:00 a.m.

  • Heritage Museum opens(closed during parade-open 'til 4 p.m.)
  • 10:00 a.m.

  • Beautiful Baby Contest at Community Center(ages newborn through 3)sponsored by Great Lakes Insurance Agency
  • 10:30 a.m.

  • Soapbox Derby Races @ Valley Vue Hill(ages 8-13)chaired by Chuck Nicoson and Todd Peterson, call 712-868-3084 for additional information

  • Registration for Classic Car, Truck, Motorcycle, & Antique Tractor Show Registration time is 10:30-1:00 & after parade 2-2:30; awards will be given out at 5:30 p.m.
  • 11:00 a.m.

  • Wacky Trike Races -Qualifying Heats @ west side of City Park (all ages Kids to adult) Rhonda Eisenbacher,chm

  • 1:00 p.m.- Kiddie parade followed by Main Parade
  •  Vickie Rooney, Chairman, 712-868-4020, 868-3681 • Kiddie Parade starts at east end of high school and ends at Corner Hardware corner; Parade route begins at football field & ends there
  • After the parade

  • Inflatables - 8am to 8pm (North side of City Park $10 wrist band for all day)
  • Pedal Tractor Pull (west side of City Park - $1 Registration fee)
  • Mini Kiddie Carnival in City Park

  • 2:30 p.m.
  • Armstrong-Ringsted Jr. High and Sr. Jazz Band performing @ Shelter house

  • Register for Firemen's Water Fight (NW of City Park - starts at 3:30)
  • 3:30 p.m.

  • Drawing for Mo-jack lift (donated by Melvin Brown)
  • Firemen’s Water Fight Located: NW corner of City Park
  • 4:00 p.m.

  • Winner of Bicycle announced - Donated by Oleson Chiropractic

  • 4:30 p.m.
  • Wacky Trike Race Finals (all ages - kids to adults) west side of City Park.

  • 5:00 p.m.
  • Winner of Nintendo Wii announced - donated by Tigges Trucking
  • We've Got Talent (in park - sponsored by Mayo Health)

  • 5:30 p.m.
  • Winners announced for:
    Parade Prizes

  • Pork Loin Supper at City Park - Class of 2011(fundraiser for Lyle Sathoff and family)

  • Beer Garden opens
  • Announcement of We've Got Talent winners after all performances

  • 10:00 p.m.- Fireworks(set off North of Armstrong)

We've Got Talent - $100 first, $25 second, in each age group

• Kiddie parade to end at Corner Hardware corner
• Don't forget to bring lawn chairs for Church, Bike show, parade, talent show, etc.
Friday July 3rd, 2009
    6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Cattlemen's Supper (south of city park-serving Rib-eye sandwich, baked beans, pasta salad, carrot cupcake - Free will donation)

  • 6 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
  • Beer Garden and Street Dance with Uncle Fester-- Beer Garden open at 6 pm. Street dance starts at 8:30 pm.
